Hello Fabulous community! We are very excited to announce the dates for our Circus Summer Camp! Each series will be a week long spanning over 4 weeks total. Classes will consist of exploring movement, creative musical outlets, circus skill training, costume making, aerial silks and performance opportunities. 

We will have three different age groups, 12-teen, 8-12 and 5-7. 

Each session features:

Music time- instrument playing, singing and marching. Rhythm exploration.

Movement- creative, high energy physical games using imagination, teamwork and strength building techniques. Acting/improvisation exercises. 

Circus skill training: scarves, juggling, aerial silks, balancing, stilt walking, unicycling, dancing, beginning tumbling/acrobatics, poi spinning, hula hooping, tight rope walking, plate spinning, 

Crafting- using mostly recycled or natural materials. 

Stage time with costumes, music, fun lighting and skits. Character work and stagecraft.

We are also offering a bonus week for ages 8 and up that will be a Makers Circus with opportunities to create custom masks, stilts, costumes and juggling balls and more! This week we will concentrate on crafting and side by side mentoring with easy designs for continued exploration at home.

Series #1( Ages:12-Teen): June 20th to 23rd,9:30am-12:30pm (9:15 drop off) 

-Cost: $250 per child

Makers Circus (Ages 8 and up): June 27th to June 30th, 9:30am-12:30pm (9:15 drop off) 

-Cost: $300 per child

Series #2(Ages:8-12): July 11th-14th, 9:30am-12:30pm (9:15 drop off)

-Cost: $250 per child

 Series #3(Ages:5-7): July 18th-21st, 10:15am-12:30pm (10am drop off)

-Cost $200 per child

 All of the circus skills are basic level/introduction with minimal risk and plenty of safety measures implemented. We aim to foster team work, communication skills, emotion identification and self confidence We encourage age appropriate emotional and physical expression to expand personal comfort zones and an opportunity to embrace a community of like minded kids.

Classes will be held at the Arlene Francis center, 99 Sixth Street, in downtown Santa Rosa. Space is limited, and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. To be fully registered a deposit must be received. 15 students max per series.
